| What I look for in a hitter | I read my books, especially the last 4-5
yrs of the Minor League Scouting Notebook...OPS...your favorite...... In my S-O-M league he has to have .850 or he's not play-able for me, unless he's a SS/2B..... |
| What I look for in a pitcher | Height, A couple of different Plus Pitches, Good K/W ratio, and Hits/IP ratio...Improvement as the move up the Ladder. (Minor Leagues..) Pitching is the Hardest to Draft....Pitchers take longer to get it together....Also Min 500 IP In Minors/ and Majors...Before I make a decision...or Unless you hear the dreaded Torn Rotator CUFF, or Torn Labrum.. |

Baseball Weekly, Baseball America, Stats Inc Books, etc...etc....TIME....I put Large amounts of Time into each Draft....The more prepared the better I am...Last Year's Draft...I nailed..... |

| Additional Comments | Joe's League very fun....I enjoyed the Draft....Trading is important, but I'm very careful....I followed your advice..trade older players for younger ones, and picks...Plus I hang onto my Drafted players longer.... Between S-O-M , 10 yrs, 6 yrs in Joe's League, plus 1968, 69, 70,88...I have played the Pirates, 1983,84 also...I may have played over 3000 games between the leagues....I enjoy Joe's league when playing Modem.....But the S-O-M Face to Face league is my passion.....I'm always prepared... The more prepared you are...the better..your franchise will be..... |
